Third Awakening?
From the Washington Post:
President Bush said yesterday that he senses a "Third Awakening" of religious devotion in the United States that has coincided with the nation's struggle with international terrorists, a war that he depicted as "a confrontation between good and evil."
Why do I all of a sudden feel less safe?

Not to be a total church history dork, but what an offense to the first two (great) awakenings, characterized not only by religious devotion but also by a religiously inspired understanding of social justice, hence driving such movements as the abolitionist movement and the movement for women's sufferage in the 19th c. grr... ok, enough dorkdom.
